I bring a wide range of skills to the table, backed by an AAS degree in Web Design and Software Development. My formal education is complemented by numerous self-taught skills and extensive experience in lean manufacturing. This unique combination allows me to approach projects with a blend of technical proficiency and practical, results-oriented strategies. Whether it’s designing user-friendly websites, developing robust software, or optimizing manufacturing processes, I am dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions. My versatility and commitment to continuous learning make me an asset to any team, ready to tackle diverse challenges and drive success.
Over a three-year period at Minnesota State College Southeast in Winona, MN, I successfully managed a demanding schedule by working full-time and engaging in online courses. Despite the challenges of balancing work and family life, I maintained a commendable 3.10 GPA and earned recognition on the President's List for four out of the six semesters. My decision to return to school was driven by a significant shift in my career path after 17 years of employment, which became untenable due to business adjustments. This educational journey was not only aimed at entering a field that genuinely excited me but also fulfilled a promise I made to a professor during my initial college attempt.
I have a strong desire to learn and continuously improve myself, utilizing various tools and resources available. Leveraging AI, Google, and YouTube, I actively seek out new knowledge and skills to streamline processes and enhance my capabilities. Whether it's mastering a new software, understanding complex concepts, or finding innovative solutions to challenges, these platforms provide me with the information and guidance I need. My proactive approach to self-education not only keeps me up-to-date with the latest advancements but also empowers me to bring fresh ideas and efficient strategies to my work.
My extensive experience in lean manufacturing, coupled with a deep understanding of 6S and other continuous improvement tools, has significantly enhanced my effectiveness in a manufacturing environment. Implementing lean principles has allowed me to streamline processes, reduce waste, and optimize productivity. The 6S methodology—Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety—has been instrumental in creating organized and efficient workspaces. This focus on operational excellence not only improves quality and safety but also fosters a culture of continuous improvement. My ability to apply these practices consistently ensures that production runs smoothly, delivering high-quality results while maintaining cost efficiency.
